Always Family nurse helping a senior woman

Our Approach
The Always Family Home Care Approach

We do quality in-home senior care in Texas differently

Always Family services are tailored specifically to your needs, delivered efficiently with the utmost love and care. Our priority is to manage the entire senior care process from the start to make the experience easier and more enjoyable for our clients and their families.

Let us manage your loved one’s care while you spend more time creating memories with that special person.

Our client onboarding process is designed for a seamless transition to safe and reliable home care services. It only takes five easy steps to get your elderly loved one enjoying an exceptional care experience.

Step One RN Care Coordinators

The first step is meeting your Always Family RN Care Coordinator, who will manage your family’s home care experience. This team member is either a Registered Nurse or certified geriatric care professional. Your RN Care Coordinator will be your sole point of contact throughout your care experience, eliminating the need to juggle multiple connections.

These case management experts help oversee your loved one’s care experience. Your RN Care Coordinator will also help develop a customized care plan using input from the person’s primary health providers and will maintain constant contact with the caregivers to ensure they completely understand your needs.

Your Care Coordinator will visit your home every three months to review and make any necessary adjustments to your care program so it’s always current with your needs.

After meeting with your family, the RN Care Coordinator will provide guidance to our care schedulers, who use our accurate caregiver matching system to find the right team of caregivers for your older loved one.

Step TwoAccurate caregiver matching system

A positive care experience is rooted in your loved one having caregivers that complement your loved one’s attributes. For example, one older adult might prefer a caregiver who’s chatty and engaging. Another might like someone a little quieter and more reserved.

Always Family’s unique caregiver matching system is based on information about your loved one, ensuring that the older person is assigned the right caregivers. This approach will help create a positive, enjoyable care experience for everyone involved.

Like everyone, our caregivers have different personalities and character quirks. However, Always Family caregivers do have one critical thing in common: they’ve passed our unwavering enforcement of the Grandma Guarantee® during the interview and hiring process.

We’ve built a professional, reliable team of senior caregivers from our unwavering commitment to enforce the Grandma Guarantee® during the interview and hiring process.

Step ThreeOur Grandma Guarantee®

Always Family offers client families the Grandma Guarantee® as our promise to only hire caregivers we would trust to care for our own grandma in her home. We only want the best for our grandma, and we wouldn’t send your family anyone who doesn’t live up to that standard.

With the Grandma Guarantee®, you can count on safe, compassionate in-home care from trusted caregivers. Always.

When we hire our caregivers, we ensure they’re among the best in the business. We also provide ongoing training and coaching so that our entire staff can continue delivering quality care based on the most modern practices available..

Step FourContinuing Caregiver Education

Always Family takes no shortcuts when it comes to our rigorous onboarding process that ensures your family has a care experience beyond your expectations. At the heart of this approach is retaining caregivers with sunny dispositions and the skills and expertise to deliver quality care.

Every Always Family caregiver must pass a criminal background check and have at least three related job references, CPR certification, and a valid driver’s license. They must also have completed specialized training in Alzheimer’s disease and dementia care and be intimately familiar with our care policies, procedures, and practices.

We also give our caregivers every opportunity to keep their skills updated with access to
leading resources on Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, diabetes, Parkinson’s disease, and more.

Our caregivers truly love what they do and take pride in their work. We know you’ll love working with them and look forward to their visits every day.

Another critical component to exceptional care is transparency. Always Family provides an open channel for family, friends, and medical professionals to stay informed on your loved one’s care process through our secure, easy-to-use online portal.

Step FiveInnovative Senior Care Technology

Family Portal
Always Family’s secure family portal offers instant access to your loved one’s care plan with just a few keystrokes. This technology allows for open transparency and communication with your RN Care Coordinator through the online message board.

Multiple family members can be added to the account so everyone can have their own login information. Our system allows the whole family to communicate and collaborate with your RN Care Coordinator to help create an optimal care experience for everyone.

Care plan information
Your initial care plan details and paperwork is securely stored in the portal for you to refer back to when asking questions.

Caregiver scheduling
Our portal contains your loved one’s upcoming caregiver schedule with a picture of the caregiver scheduled to prevent any surprises.

Past shift data
Complete details about a past shift, such as the caregiver’s arrival time, which tasks were performed, and when the caregiver left are available at a glance.

Caregiver Portal
Our senior care technology also features a caregiver portal, where caregivers can access the latest healthcare resources and be instantly updated about any changes to your loved one’s care plan.

Caregivers are also required to use their GPS Mobile Timecard to log completed caregiving tasks, such as personal care duties and assistance with the Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). Continually updating your loved one’s file helps all caregivers, medical professionals, and family members stay informed and updated.
